The course is 160-hours of core competency training. You have 18 weeks to finish the course from the time you enroll.

The course includes pre-tests, readings, videos, interactive activities, recorded lectures, student activities and post-tests.

The CHW certification course is $850.

Yes, CHWs must renew their license every two years by completing 20 hours of continuing education. A renewal application must be submitted through the Texas Department of State Health Services (TX DSHS). More information can be found on the TX DSHS website. As a training center, we do offer continuing education courses.
